Among the notable attendees was Dr. Naresh Trehan, a globally renowned cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon from India. With over 45 years of expertise and more than 48,000 cardiac operations to his name, Dr. Trehan is the Chairman and Managing Director of Medanta – The Medicity in Gurugram. He has made significant contributions to cardiac surgery and has been honored with prestigious awards such as the Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan.

Other attendees included vascular surgeons, cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, vascular fellows, cardiac surgery fellows, surgical residents, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, radiology techs, vascular techs, and other clinical team members. This symposium presented an exceptional opportunity for networking, sharing knowledge, and nurturing collaboration. The event had more than 200 attendees from other countries, bringing an international touch to our conference. These participants also got to enjoy the uniqueness of Nepal, significantly impacting the promotion of tourism in the country.

Dr. Bharat Rawat, an esteemed Interventional Cardiologist associated with Medanta-The Medicity, delivered an insightful session titled “Health of Healers.” He addressed the mental and emotional health of doctors, highlighting the challenges they face and suggesting ways to improve their well-being. His session was a crucial part of the conference, emphasizing the importance of healthcare professionals’ mental health. Dr. Rawat served as the Executive Director and Chief of Cardiology at Norvic International Hospital in Kathmandu from 1998 to 2015, where he was the cardiologist for the King, the Prince, and the Prime Minister of Nepal.
